I never thought I’d actually make this post to be honest.
Well, I’m packing my bags and moving to Las Vegas after this, cause daaamn am I not ready for the hate.. Or am I? :new_moon_with_face: :hocho:
Haha, just kidding! Well, it’s been a while, right? This is a #YSNBlog And today I’ll be discussing a not very popular opinion ( especially since I’m in an app full of people that specifically LOVE YS ) of why Yandere Simulator is a BAD game.
So, lets get started, shall we?
Now, I don’t have no reason to believe this, I have quite a lot of reasons, in fact. And trust me, I’m ready to fight! Now, don’t get me wrong, the concept is really cool, but it’s just as we’re speaking, a bad game. But we’ll get back to that case and point later ^^;

So, our first reason..
The Look.
Now, this is mostly my ( VERY STRONG ) opinion, but I really despise the art style at times. And the animations/cutscenes don’t look much better either.

If you look at the movements they try so hard to be fluent and natural, but they’re really just not. They look so stiff at times. This may just be me, but I can’t stand it. And I know he takes inspiration from other games, but some of it is so unnecessary and takes up so much time it kills me.
And if you haven’t noticed the hair physics are a bit weird at times too. It may just be that I’m not used to it, but it feels so wrong..
You can’t really feel what they’re feeling or believe that they would love or hate each other. There’s just not that much to get into. I understand Ayano shouldn’t care, but WE, we as humans with feelings should feel hurt. That would only show how cold AYANO is. I don’t care if it’s a simulator, if you give her a name and a ( honestly, a very good ) backstory she’s a character you should bend and mold as much as you want.
The BEST PART of these animations are the confessions. I won’t spoil, but IF and WHEN she gets rejected, I felt genuinely sad for that poor lovesick schoolgirl.
Let’s not waste too much time on this topic and get to the next one!
The Characters.
Now, these characters. It’s a yin and yang thing. Some are really good and then some.. I hate, and not because their ( dull ) personality, but because there’s nothing to LIKE or HATE!
Take Kizana, for example, she seems like she’s gonna be a well thought out Himedere, who has many insecurities and just wants to be a star with her Romeo. But wait, Ayano shouldn’t care, and so we can’t either. We watch as this girl is either broken, heartbroken, killed, or bullied ( something like that ) And honestly, I know IT WILL hurt me! But we must do what we must do.. >:)
But then, we have these shitty characters like Taro Yamada, better known as Senpai. He’s stale bread.
Okay, yeah, um.. This isn’t the boy I ordered. This is a piece of bread. I ordered a chunk of meat for that every hot anime girl goes after.. THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANT!
But, really, It’s not even his looks that annoy me. It’s his personality. Info-Chan even said it herself, why would anybody want a boy who doesn’t nothing but go to class and read? And I COULD be into that kinda guy, but.. Really? He’s supposed to be special, someone who makes your heart leap. We’re supposed to want to kill for him.

See, that’s kinda the whole point of the feeling bad part.. You have to have motivation, right? This boy is not motivation to murder.
Okay, now the final one.
The Promises.
The fucking promises he makes.. He promised this game would be done in 2019 and STILL hasn’t updated on that promise. We’re not even done with the first Rival.
Yandere Dev if you’re reading this, please stop making promises. If you wanna make all of the Rivals special like I hope you will, take your time and focus on them. The character development is important too.

I know you’re gonna say that he’s gonna fix the art style to make it his own, or we’ve not even seen Osana for 100% so how do we know that she’s not good, and such. And on some points, hell, I’d agree.. But on others, let me ask.
Will he really?
In my opinion he is extremely unfit to create such a unique and wonderful game with such potential. But that’s just my opinion.
